DIY Tubing Guide

Planning your own tubing adventure? Here's what you need to know about parking and logistics.

Important: Two-Vehicle System Required

For DIY tubing, you must bring two vehicles to handle the logistics of getting back to your starting point:

  1. Park one vehicle at your ending point (Utah Lake State Park area)
  2. Drive to your starting point with all passengers and equipment
  3. Begin your tubing adventure
  4. Exit the river and use your second vehicle to return to the start

Starting Point Parking

  • Bridal Veil Falls Area: Limited parking, arrive early
  • Provo Canyon Parks: Several options with small fees
  • Forest Service Areas: First-come, first-served
  • Cost: $5-10 per vehicle at most locations
  • Tip: Weekday mornings have best availability

Ending Point Parking

  • Utah Lake State Park: Most popular exit point
  • Lakeside Park: Free parking option
  • Private Access Points: Some may require permission
  • Cost: State park entrance fees may apply
  • Tip: Have backup exit points planned
